Hello

I have 7 Dell servers each with 4 NICS. The network they are on has 1 IP one 1 NIC for connectivity, customer asked to add a another NIC with another IPI on each server. What would be the benefit to this? Another NICC to support another function? These NICs are not teamed. Sorry, this is IPV4

Thanks
Bruce

    Hi ,

There are multiple reasons that you can have two NIC on a server. E.g.:

1.You need to connect to 2 different network.

2.Redudancy (1 NIC fails, then you can use the other).

3.If you are using windows cluster, then require an additional NIC port for heartbeat purposes between nodes.

    Best Regards,

    Candy
