Teams - audiotime(minutes) and videotime(minutes)

Does anyone know how the audiotime and videotime fields are calculated on the Teams User Activity report? The numbers appeared to be skewed for individuals on our report and I am trying to figure out how these fields could get so high for a user that does not have a high number of meetings or activity otherwise. I have already reviewed the MS docs on the User Activity Report and that was not helpful in providing more details on how those fields are calculated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi RobinsonMichaelASMResearch-0213!

In my experience, audio time is the time used for users to join audio conference and peer-to-peer call.

Video time is the total video time that the user participant in during the specified time period.

Please notice that activity count will vary according to the date selection.

I have just noticed in our company's Teams dashboard that last Wednesday's Audio Time was in the 57k+minutes range. (47k+ minutes of video) We have just 40 users and do not have telephony through Teams, so I was curious how these figures are calculated as well.

Following this thread for more information.

Hi, I´m as confused as all of you... I´m checking the usage reports and I see I use over a MILLION minutes of audio, video and Screen Share,...... Added up it show me about 7 MILLIONS units a day! (we are a company with less than 1000 users, so I cannot believe that it is possible for 1000 users to use Teams for 7000 minutes a day per person ?!?!?!?!?!

Over the audio/telephony it means the time that two people were peer-to-peer talking (i asume with or without video) or in a AUDIO multiconference

Is someone has a clue on the units used on the reports it would be ideal to share it.

I'm curious about this too. We're just starting out with Teams and only have about 300 active users but 107,599 minutes of audio time in a single day. Would that also include audio time a user would spend on a Teams meeting form another tenant? We're not allowing users to schedule Teams meetings at this time as Webex is still our meeting platform, however we do allow calling and the ability to start a meeting from a private chat or channel. The number just seems really high.
