When viewing an event which was created via SharePoint 2016 Calendar view I am able to view the Month and Day for the current year but the year itself is not displayed. However, if I go to the previous year, I am able to see the full Date including Month, Day and Year. Is this just the out of box settings for Calendars in SharePoint 2016? Is there any documentation on how to possibly change so that even for the current year events, it displays the date?

In my SharePoint 2016 calendar list, I could see day, month and current year for events.
Please provide some screenshots of your calendar list.

@Emily Du-MSFT Thank you for your response. I am not speaking of the date on the actual calendar but the date which displays when you add an event to the calendar. Please see the attached screenshots. I am able to view the date just as you have mentioned above on the calendar. I have shared 3 screenshots.
My query is asking if this is normal behavior and if so, is there any documentation which specifically states that calendar events for Current year will not display the full Day/Month/Year when viewing the event in the

@Emily Du-MSFT There are no custom settings being used. Once you create the event it will display on your calendar. Once it is on your calendar, select the event and check if it displays the full date for current year or if it displays only the Day and Month. I have shared screenshots above.
The screenshot you shared is identical and consistent with what I have also.
Please create an event, then select it from the calendar in the same view as I shared in my screenshots.
Or, in the calendar you posted, there is an event for "Birthday" click on that event and share a screenshot of how it is displayed.
That is where I am looking at the Day/Month/Year.
I shared one for the current calendar year and previous.
