Is it possible to use two screens at home for remote desktop

I am using microsoft remote desktop on my macbook to connect to my windows PC in work.

I have a monitor plugged into my macbook at home, am I able to use two screens with remote desktop once connected. Currently when connect it will only allow me to control the remote desktop on one screen.
