Are managed disk supported for only certain VM sizes?

Are managed disks available for only certain VM sizes, or do all VM Sizes support managed disks?

    Managed disk are supported for all VM sizes in Azure.

    Additional Information: While deploying a new Virtual Machine with any Size (Configuration) by default the managed disk option is selected in the disks blade. For more managed disk related queries please refer this document

    This is categorically false. Av2 series Azure VMs do not support managed disks. You are coming from it during build time which filters the available sizes to those that support managed disks, whereas we get requests before that using the MS calculator for say Standard_A1_v2, which does not support managed disks.

    We're talking the OS disk here, not data disks.
