Hi Everyone,

Am currently setting up Azure Site replication for on premise HyperV Virtual machines to Azure. Replication failed with the following error below as i initiated the replication process.

Error ID
68502
Error Message
The virtual machine couldn't be replicated.
Provider error
Replication is paused for virtual machine 'XXXSERVER'.
Possible causes
Replication was paused either manually, or due to problems with virtual machine 'XXXSERVER' in cloud/site 'XXXHyperVSite1'.
Recommendation
Fix any issues in the Event Viewer logs (Applications and Service Logs - MicrosoftAzureRecoveryServices) on the Hyper-V host server and resume the replication.

Sorry for the painful experience. IMO, you should upgrade to a most recent roll up. The latest info can be found here

We have noticed in the past that upgrading to the latest roll up have helped resolve this issue. Let me know if the issue still persist.

    Hi Sadiqh,

Thanks for response, i downloaded and tried installing the roll up and i was told my host is running later version of Azure site recovery provider thereby halting installation.

I have checked to see that my host are running on version 5.1.5900.0 and MARS Agent 2.0.9175.0.

Still stuck with the replication error. Kindly assist.

    George

Do require i disable and re-enable replication on the hyperv host? If that is the case i have done that but still the error persist.
