Unable to get pipelinerun in purview

I have integrated my purview account to Data Factory. When I run my pipeline which has web activity and copy activity with source as 'REST API' and sink as json dataset in 'Azure Blob Storage' , I was unable to locate pipeline runs in purview.
When i run the pipeline with source as json dataset and sink as csv data set with 'Azure Blob Storage' linked service, I was able to locate my pipeline run in purview.
Does Purview won't identify the pipeline runs if the Data sets(Source and Sink) in Azure Data Factory are not registered as a source in Purview or Am i missing something.
