Is Kinect 2 dead ? is there any support ? Will it work with AMD Threadripper

I have 2 Kinects 1/for PC and 1/ Xbox one with Convertor for the PC but I connected them today to play with a old project and all that happens is it's turning on and off 8 to 10 seconds, I see ALOT of posts about this all over with no real answer ?

also I see intel fixe so have to ask does it work with a AMD theadripper computer ?

I cut the yellow and blue wires on the Xbox one Kinect Fan while ago and got it working again, but today both do the same thing turn and on and off pretty hard to even change the Device setting and the disappear all the time. since both do the same thing it's not hardware but software issue

I have not read any posts of anyone having success with the Kinect 2 in 2020 -2021, is it Dead ?
Should I just move one and not waste time on it ?
