Azure deployment vis Visual studio fails

I am trying to deploy app using Visual studio 2019. When I click publish, after publish profile is created, I get below error. How to resolve the issue?

Hello @Bokade, Aditya , it looks like the build failed as the error message says. Can you build your solution in release mode and check if there is any error?
Also, if if it builds fine, then please share some details of the diagnostic log as shown in the error. NOTE: Ensure to mask any sensitive data before sharing.

Hi Krishnendu,

The application runs successfully in debug mode locally.

But when I tried deplying, again I got same error. When I opened the diagnostic log file of below file it was below output:

Now I changed from Debug mode to release mode and tried deployment, however, same error. Please help.

Also, When I changed mode to release, and just tried to build, it says build failed with below error message:

Error Web deployment task failed. (Unable to read data from the transport connection: The connection was closed.)

Please help.

I am wondering why build would try to deploy something. Can you confirm you are trying to "Build" in release mode and not "Publish".
