I have Skype 2016 for Business shows version 16.0.4266.1001 32 bit - on a Win10 systems running either Office 2010 (32 bit) or Office 2016 (32 bit). I want to increase the Skype version. I can increase Office 2010 version for example, but Skype stays the same..

Any inks to something that will change the Skype 2016 version ?
I tested this in my lab. The result is the same as yours. It seems that there is something wrong with the package.
Also, I did not find other useful link to update Skype for Business 2016 client.

The reason for this problem is because the Help > About tells you the version in regard to a specific DLL, but not the lync.exe version. You need to go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\lync.exe, right click > select Properties, and select the Details tab.
Thanks for the reply. So this helps me with version numbers, but is there a solution to the initial problem of a black window over the top of a single presented program, when wanting to work without notice to the audience in the background ?

I have never seen the Pop Up when you showed appearing when Presenting a Program in Skype.
