What is the correct way to delete a WAF association?

Hello,
I have 2 FrontDoor premium resources, both connected to the same WAF policy,
I had to separate them to two different WAFs so I've created a new WAF and removed the association from the old one.

I've tried to associate one of the front door resources to new WAF and got an error on association(internal error).
Decided to revert back by deleting WAF association and associate it to the old WAF but I can't as it's stuck in "Deleting" provision state.
Tried deleting the newer WAF, was successful but I can't remove the association still.
I've tried waiting it out(1hr+) but the issue persists.

Question is, What is the correct way to delete a WAF association as now I'm stuck with no WAF at all.
Help appreciated.

@George M This is a known issue with Azure Front Door and WAF Policies. If the deletion has not gone through yet, you will need to create a support request to have the association removed from the backend.

If you do not have a support plan to open a support request, please let me know!
