I need to add a custom column in Power BI Edit Query, where the custom column is calculated from another table. Please help. Can this be done?

I think that is not possible in Query editor.
You need to do it in a data view using DAX.

Thank you for the kind reply.
However, adding a custom column itself is not a problem. What I am looking for is adding a custom column that feeds off another table, with a basic calculation that uses a column or two from a neighboring table in Power BI Query.

you need to add a measure not column ,
in report view right click on the table you want to add the column to it and click add new measure ,
then write the corresponding DAX,
in case you need help in DAX do not hesitate to contact me ,
Note: measures are better than columns in terms of report performance optimization

Try This, Custom Column = RELATED(Column Name).
Before this use to create Relationship Both table.
