Create a new document in Publisher in the page format you use most often. Insert a text box. By default, the style used in it will be Normal style. Then choose Home>Styles and right-click on Normal under the Styles in Use subhead. Choose Modify. Click on the Font button and change the Latin font to Cambria. OK out.

Delete the text box, then choose File>Save As. Change the Save as type dropdown to Publisher Template (*.pub) and save the file.

Then, when creating a new document, choose File>New>Custom Office Templates and select the template you had created. Create a text box and check that the font is now set to Cambria instead of Calibri.

You can define a Normal template for Publisher and that template will be used for new, blank documents.

Do the following: In a new Publisher file, modify the Normal style to include the characteristics you want. Then save the file as a template in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Office folder under the name Normal.pub. This file will then be used for new, blank Publisher files.

The screen shot illustrates that I put the Normal.pub file in my Office folder (user-specific and system-specific). You can open the specific folder via the Run dialog box (Windows logo key + R) by entering %appdata%\Microsoft\Office and pressing Enter.

Steps to Set Calibri as Default Font in Publisher:

    Open Microsoft Publisher

Launch Publisher and open a new or existing document.

    Access the Default Font Settings

Go to the **Home** tab in the ribbon.

Click the small arrow in the bottom-right corner of the **Font** group to open the **Font** dialog box. *(Alternatively, press **`Ctrl + D`** to open the Font dialog directly.)*

         **Select Calibri as the Default**

            In the Font dialog:

Choose **Calibri** from the font list.

Set your preferred **Size** (e.g., 11 pt).

Adjust other formatting if needed (e.g., bold/italic).

                              **Set as Default**

Click the **Set As Default** button at the bottom of the dialog.

                                    A pop-up will ask:

**"Change the default font for this document only?"** → Select **"All documents based on the Normal template"** to apply globally.

                                             Click **OK** to confirm.

                                             **Verify**

Create a new text box or document to ensure Calibri is now the default.
