FSLogix - Optimizing the disk space of virtual disks

Hi.

Noticed that these folders weigh from 1 gigabyte to 5.

  1. Profile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
  2. Profile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache
  3. System Volume Information

I understand correctly that for the system and the user there is nothing important in the first two folders and I can not store them using the Redirections.xml functionality ?

But what to do with folder 3 ?

Some profiles take more than 10 gigabytes because of these folders, but the user actually has no more than 1 gigabyte of work files.

Any best practices, tips, profile optimization ?

I know how to defragment the disk, compress it, but I do not know how to get rid of garbage in the profile.

    Thanks for your query.

    1.By default the profile container VHD will contain the entire Windows profile for the user, except for:
    The TEMP (TMP) folder location
    The IE Cache folder location
    The redirections.xml file is used to control what folders are redirected out of the profile container to the C: drive. It can also, optionally, sync the contents of these folders to and from the profile container at user sign-out and sign in respectively.
