FSLogix OneDrive client updates

Hi,

I've noticied that when the OneDrive Client is automatically updated on admin-users in the background, we need to configure OneDrive again on all RDS-clients. Because the server-client is different from the user-client.

What is the best update policy when using OneDrive-client with the ODBC-container in single Server 2019 RDS-environment?

I've installed OneDriveSetup.exe /allusers as administrator on the server. Then i'm logging in with a RDS-user and also install the OneDriveSetup.exe to enable it on their profile.

Best regards,
Joost Lauwen

    Hello @Joost Lauwen ,

    Thanks for your query.

1.Did you install the OneDrive sync app per machine on the client computer or RDS servers?
2.The app on the client computer has nothing to do with the one on the RDS server. We don't understand what you mean by "we need to configure OneDrive again on all RDS-clients. Because the server-client is different from the user-client". Please give more explanation, thank you.

    Best regards,
    Leila

    Hello @Leila Kong ,

    1. I've installed the OneDrive on the RDS-server, where the Users logging in. With OneDriveSetup.exe /AllUsers.
    2. At some point the OneDrive-sync is interrupted and we cannot sync our SharePoint-files. We need the logoff the account from OneDrive and then need to sync SharePoint again. It looks like this happens when the OneDrive Client is automatically updated to a newer version.

The FsLogix-redirections are still available at this point.

    Best regards,
    Joost Lauwen
