Microsoft DHCP failover relationship

Hi,

I have two DHCP windows 2016 servers ( Server - A & Server - B ) with IP address and hostname. I have configured the DHCP failover relationship on Server - A, Hence all the scope replicated to partner server - B to achieve high availbility. its working fine.

Now, At this stage i need to change the server - A and Server - B hostname and IP address.

My question -

1) After changing IP & hostname of Server - A and Server - B, will the DHCP failover relationship will break? or will i need to re-configure failover relationship?

2) I've heard that if the DHCP failover relationship break then scopes on partner server will be auto deleted is that true?

    As failover is related to the IP address and domain name of the DHCP server, the DHCP failover relationship won't work and we consider that you need to re-configure failover relationship.

    2) I've heard that if the DHCP failover relationship break then scopes on partner server will be auto deleted is that true?

    If you deconfigure (remove) the failover relationship, you will get the message which tells you that 'the selected scopes will also be deleted from the partner server.' if its the only scope (left) in the failover relationship.
