I created a very basic sharepoint workflow which contains a single action - to send an email. It is contained inside an app step. I set up the app permissions as instructed in an accompanying Microsoft srticle - and yet every time the workflow executes - it stops saying that the app does not have permission to a specific list. I have even gone through the trouble of giving that user specific permission on each asset it is looking at and there is still no progress. Not sure where im going wrong.

    @Ferfolia, Mark ,

    Remember to uncheck the "Automatically update the workflow status to the current stage" in workflow settings:

    If the issue still exists, we suggest you deactivate the "Workflows can use app permissions" feature, then follow this article to create a workflow with elevated permissions again.
