Hi All,

I am trying to figure out if there is a way that user can map to a share and run operations on the streams associated with files and folder in that directory. I understand there can be tools to do the same but is that an expected behavior? As per my understanding, only system can do such operations in order to maintain information relevant to the respective files and folder.

Also, I couldn't figure out if there are separate set of permissions maintained for both the streams or these use the permissions set on the respective files and directory instead of maintaining their own set of permissions.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Streams do not have their own set of permissions. Is that correct?

Based on my knowledge, it seems that.

But as I said before, with build-in settings we couldn't directly achieve this. Maybe some application could do. For this, I'm afraid you may need to find by your own. Appreciate your support and understanding.

    Best Regards,
