Hello Team,

I want to set up child domain in the Azure VM but i am not sure that how to connect On-Premise Parent domain network with Azure VM to setup Child Domain.

We have Parent domain (xyz.com) in Physical system (Dell PowerEdge T110 II Tower server), now we want to setup Child domain (child.xyz.com) in Azure VM.
But I am not sure if this is possible.
Please correct me if i am thinking wrong, "to setup child domain in Azure VM we need to establish the Network connectivity between Azure VM and On Premise Server?" is it correct.
Also please let me know what are the options to setup network connectivity between Azure VM and On-Premise system.

Request you to please help me to plan this setup.

Thank you in Advance.

    Hi Kishore,

Yes its possible. You need to enable site to site VPN connectivity between you on-prem network and azure. Refer the below article for more information and steps.

    https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/vpn-gateway/vpn-gateway-howto-site-to-site-classic-portal.

there are other options like Express route but don't think your requirement needs that, Site to site is pretty straight forward way to setup and configure.
