Azure Purview - register assets using rest api

We are trialing Purview in a PoC. We have sources that are not supported, but in any case we want to manually register assets and create lineage, both for the PoC and later on where we do not wish to automatically scan.

How can we register assets and create lineage without scanning? Is this via the rest api?

    Yes it is possible through REST API. The below link is not the exact ask but walks through a similar ask .
