Creating resilient (HA) fslogix profile container storage

I am investigating VMware Horizon Cloud Pod architecture to make a resilient non-persistent desktop pod federation for ~1200 users stretched across two datacenters (latency ~50ms). Everything except user profile containers has been figured out. Using FSLogix CloudCache seems like a great solution, but I cannot seem to figure out the best way to pin CloudCache SMB share locations to the Horizon Pods. If you are using a proximity based global load balancer, the Horizon Client is sent to the Horizon Pod nearest to the user and I want to avoid FSLogix connecting the vhdx from an SMB share located in the other Horizon Pod across the country.

Is it as simple as modifying the CCDLocations registry value in Site 1 Organization Unit to point to the nearest SMB share and vice versa in Site 2?
