I'm trying to set up a Storage Account for static website hosting. All the tutorials and help documentaiton I look at say that when you go into the Azure Portal, Storage account, the option Static Website should be there. However it doesn't appear there under the Settings section or any other section I can find. Any suggestions of what I might have missed?

Try creating Azure Storage with HNS disabled i.e. Blob storage. You should see the Static website option then.

I created Storage account with HNS enabled i.e. ADSL Gen2 and couldn't see the Static website option. I guess, it's in preview mode.

Search for static website in this page - data-lake-storage-supported-blob-storage-features

    Hope it helps.
