dual factor authentication in Data Factory

2020-07-23T05:51:50.72+00:00

Hi

We have a plan to setup Azure data factory to connect sftp , for this we require dual factor authentication that means both sftp user id and ssh public key exchange method . so is this possible in current Azure Data factory V2 ?

I observed while I creating ADF in portal only one authentication method is accepting eventhough its shows three authentication factors.

Due to some internal security guidelines we should use dual factor authentication method. Please answer this query as this is very important in our on going project.

Thanks
Santosh

    Hi @DevaraSantoshCloudArchitect-8552,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A platform and thanks for your query.

I believe the functionality you are looking for is already supported by SFTP linked service. When you select SSH public key authentication - Authentication type, You have to provide User Name , Private key and Pass phrase details in order to establish the connection. Please see below image.

Hope this helps. Please correct me if I misunderstood your requirement, I'll be happy to assist further.
