Assigning metadata when inserting document via a library view

Hello,
When inserting a document via drag-drop into a library, is it possible to fill a library field automatically with metadata according to the view the users is currently using for uploading files?

There are certain scenarios you can auto-fill metadata for new uploaded documents (via drag-drop or not):

You have a column with Default value set, all uploaded documents will be automatically assigned with the value immediately.

You have a flow attached to this library to update properties for the documents. The metadate will be assigned after the flow finishes running.

Hi ChelseaWu-MSFT,
the default value and/or Flow solution does not work for me, what I would like is according to a view (on a doc-lib) used to fill in a field according to the data used for the view, so;
When viewA is used and there is a drag-drop handling, field X needs to be filled with A,
when viewB is used ……, filed X needs to be filled with B.

I’m afraid that is not possible, as we cannot put different metadata on one column for a document, even in different views.
