CSP ./DevDetail/Ext/Microsoft/DNSComputerName

Hello everyone,

We have a new Intune Setup. Windows 10 Clients will only be 2004. When we try to apply the new ./DevDetail/Ext/Microsoft/DNSComputerName we get a remediation error, although the device is properly renamed with the string, naming macro %serial%. Although supported operations are Get and Replace, there seems to be trouble with the Get.

Microsoft Support wasn’t helpful. The answer was basically that the Get would not work. But that’s not what their doc https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/devdetail-csp says.

Anyone been able to work that properly or any workarounds?

    Hi,

    I have tested in my lab and find the computer name is changed successfully. But on Intune portal, it shows error with Remediation failed. The same result as yours. I think this can be a known issue. We suggest to feedback the issue to Intune user voice:
