Somehow the left pane with my email accounts and folders has disapperared and I can't see how to get it back.

    Can you show an image of that?
    You can enable it from this menu if its disabled:

    OR- If the folder view is collapsed you just need to click that arrow at the top left to expand it

    Which version of Outlook are you using? Can you provide some screenshots so that we can understand your issue better?
    A quick method is pressing CTRL+1 or CTRL+6, then can you see your folders ?
