I subscribe to several “tags” that are often chosen by mistake or laziness by OPs. This triggers an email to me for every update to the off topic thread. I believe the only method to unfollow the thread/question is to open the thread and click “unfollow”. This is a huge time waste.
It would be great to be able to unfollow by clicking a link in the original (or any other) email. If that’s not possible then please allow me to click unfollow from the list of Questions I Follow.

Any movement on this request? I had about thirty email notifications this morning and less than 1/4 were related to the tags I follow (Access).

The feature request was shared with the team, though there hasn't been much traction on it yet. Some engineering work is still being prioritized for the remainder of the year, but we're hopeful this request will be considered in a future cycle.
