Same for us, we have some old legacy pages, I appreciate its going, but seems odd they allow under one setting, but removed the reload button (most useful feature)
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Hey all,
There is a website that we have to load on IE mode for it to work properly and it never been an issue so far through Edge but today I got to the office and it looks like Microsoft updated Edge and now the reload in IE mode seems to have been removed. Is that true or it was just moved?

Hi Ben,
Yes, Microsoft recently made a change to Edge that removed the "Reload in Internet Explorer mode" option from the toolbar, right-click menu, and the "More tools" section. This was part of a security update addressing a vulnerability that was being actively exploited via IE mode
IE mode itself hasn't been deprecated yet it’s just no longer as easily accessible from the UI. You can still enable it manually:
Go to edge://settings/defaultBrowser
Set "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode" to Allow
Restart Edge
If you're in an enterprise environment, it's best to configure an Enterprise Mode Site List via Group Policy or Intune. This allows specific URLs to automatically launch in IE mode without needing manual intervention.
Changing the settings to allow sites to reload in Internet Explorer mode does not solve the problem. I have my settings set to allow pages to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode, and the option is still not available, even after restarting Edge
Same issue for us this morning. Here's the only workaround I could fine - Go to settings > default browser. Make sure you are allowing sites to reload in Internet Explorer. Next, you can add the page that you want to reload in IE. I did this and when I reloaded the page, it automatically came up in IE mode. The problem with this is Microsoft only allows the added page to remain for 30 days. After 30 days, you have to re-add it which isn't the end of the world but a bit of a pain.
Hi Ben Oren,
Thank you for sharing another workaround this could help other users that might have the same issue.
Below "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode)" on
edge://settings/defaultBrowserThere is "add a page" button next to Internet Explorer mode pages. Seems like you must manually input the page URL there that you want in IE mode save it restart edge and then it works automatically when you open that page.
