I have outlook on my phone as an app and can access my own private emails, but my work linked email has stopped working and comes up with 'redirect fail'. I was able to access this yesterday. How can i rectify this?

I have been able to access my work email on my private outlook email app on my phone until today. I have googled what 'redirect fail' means, but i am not computer savvy and do not understand what it means. How can I rectify this?

It was happening this morning, but randomly it logged in, but then this afternoon, it stopped again.

    Hello,

Redirect fail means that there may be issues with your work’s email system, or that your outlook has a bug in the cache and is in need of a reset, I recommend removing your work email from outlook, then re-adding it, this should clear the cache and start you off with a fresh connection without risk of errors.

To remove an account open the app, tap your profile icon or the menu button, and go to Settings. From there, tap the account you want to remove under "Mail accounts," scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account or Remove Account, then confirm the deletion. Double check to make sure you’re doing this on the work account and not your private account.

Make sure to remember your username and password for your work account, maybe try logging it in on a different device first to make sure you remember before doing anything.

Then readd it by following these steps.

    1. Open the Outlook for Android app on your Android device.
    2. Select Add Account to add one of your existing email accounts

    Hope this helps,

Do you access your Work email on your phone by using a browser? (And not the Outlook App you use for your Personal email)?

Does the issue described in this post match your symptoms?
