Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand you're having trouble recovering a deleted file that isn’t showing up in the Recycle Bin. To assist you better, I’d like to ask a few quick questions:
- Are you using a personal account or a work/school account provided by your organization?
- Where was the file originally stored? (e.g., OneDrive, SharePoint, local PC folder, or a network drive)
- Have you checked the Recycle Bin on both your local device and any connected cloud storage (if applicable)?
If the file was stored in SharePoint:
There’s a chance it might still be recoverable from the Second-stage Recycle Bin, but please note:
- You must have SharePoint Site Admin permissions to access it.
- To check:
- Go to Site contents.
- Select Recycle Bin.
- At the bottom, click on Second-stage Recycle Bin.
- Go to Site contents.
Files deleted from the first-stage Recycle Bin may still be available there for a limited time.
Thank you again for your time and understanding. While my initial response may not resolve the issue immediately, I’d like to gather more details about your situation so I can assist you more effectively.
I really appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. Looking forward to your response.
