I have a Dell Latitude 7450 that only displays when running on AC power. As soon as the battery is connected to the board and powered on, the screen goes blank until I carry out a hard reset and run on AC power again.

Hello DIVINEWILL ADUKWU, thanks for posting this in our community. Based on the issue you've described with your Dell Latitude 7450 where the display only works on AC power and goes blank when running on battery until a hard reset is performed there are a couple of things you can try.

First, test with an external monitor by connecting it via HDMI or DisplayPort. If the external monitor works while on battery, the issue may be related to the internal display cable or panel.

Next, update your BIOS and drivers. Visit Dell Support for the Latitude 7450 and download the latest BIOS update, along with Intel graphics and chipset drivers. Make sure the laptop is connected to AC power during the BIOS update process.

    Kind regards,

    John Oli
