    Dear @Kazeem Ajibola

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you're asking about the recipients of alert notifications generated by sensitivity label activity.

Here is some information that will help clarify your concern.

Alert notifications triggered by sensitivity label activities (such as applying, changing, or removing a label) are managed through Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 Defender using alert policies.

When such an alert is triggered, the recipients of the notification are:

    • Administrators or users assigned to receive alerts in the alert policy configuration.
    • These recipients are defined when creating or editing the alert policy in Microsoft Defender or Microsoft Purview.

You can specify individual users, such as:

    • Security Administrators
    • Compliance Administrators
    • Global Administrators
    • Or any user or group with appropriate permissions and added to the alert policy.

Note: Alerts are not automatically sent to all admins. You must explicitly configure who receives them in the alert policy settings.

To configure alert recipients for sensitivity label alerts:

Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Navigate to All admin centers and select Security.

    Go to Microsoft Defender.
In the left-hand menu, choose Email & collaboration > Policies & rules > Alert policy.

Create or edit an alert policy
You can either set up a new policy or modify an existing one that monitors sensitivity label activities.

    Set Your Recipients
In the Set your recipients section, select the users or groups you wish to notify when the alert is triggered.

Thank you for the reponse. I'd appreciate it.

So, the issue currently is that a cx has a SharePoint site that has a lower sensitivity label assigned to it. If a user share a file that has a higher sensitivity label to this SharePoint site. They receive a notification saying the file has a higher label compared to the label applied to the site. The cx question is his can this alert be stopped? Thank you
