P.S. Microsoft's products and services are generally commercial, so it seems that the support person didn't offer any useful advice. :-(
I want to dispute a charge of $1,178.68 taken out of my checking account that I did not authorize. Please help. Help!!
One time I did talk to Zameez at Microsoft he told me that it was a commercial product . I do not have any commercial products. He transferred me to that department and I got cut off for the 3rd time. I need my money!!!!! Please help!!

2025-11-05T01:45:57.54+00:00 Dear @Mary K Ward,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
To help me accurately identify the charge, could you please send me the information below via Private Message:
- A copy or screenshot of the transaction or email from your bank statement, clearly showing the merchant's name and the transaction ID, if available. This information is crucial for determining which Microsoft service or product the charge belongs to.
Additionally, could you tell me more about your previous Microsoft contact process?
- Which department did you speak to him in?
- What was the method he used to transfer you to another department (did he provide a new phone number, or did he transfer the call directly, etc.)?
- Which channel did you use to contact that new department (phone, chat, email, etc.) before you were cut off?
Please send all information and answers to the above questions via Private Message. Detailed transaction and account information are sensitive personal details and cannot be discussed publicly.
Based on the transaction information you provide, I will be able to guide you on how to contact directly the specific department or product group that charged you.
Note: In my role as a Moderator, I do not have the tools to deep dive into your account information. This is due to Microsoft's very strict data security protocols.
I look forward to receiving your reply via private message soon so I can assist you as quickly as possible.
