Microsoft Word - linked FILE (not website) - Suppress Security Warning

Hi,

I've got a Microsoft Word document with a linked object - that links to another Microsoft Word document. I am the owner of both documents. Both documents reside on the same computer.

I'd like to suppress the security warning I see each time I open the Word Document containing the linked file object.

I don't necessarily want to remove every security warning from any source (such as any arbitrary file or any website) - but I'm okay with this if this is the only way to suppress the annoying security warning.

I'm using Windows 11 Professional and the Business version of Microsoft Word. Everything is always updated on my machine - always.

Thanks in advance!

Are you likely to be updating the document that is the source of the link?

If not, press CTRL+SHIFT+F9 to break the link which will result in the linked data being converted to ordinary text.

Or, use CTRL+F11 to lock the link and if later you do need to unlock it, use CTRL+SHIFT+F11
