    Hi Shannon,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your concern. I know how frustrating it is to be locked out, especially when you’ve already changed it and still see the “too many attempts” error.

This usually happens when Microsoft temporarily blocks access to protect your account after too many failed login attempts. Even if your new password is correct, trying to sign in too soon can restart the waiting period, which is why the error keeps showing up.

The best fix is to wait at least 24 hours without signing in. If it still doesn’t work, wait up to 48 hours. Avoid switching devices or networks during this time, as that can trigger more security checks.

Have you ever set up Microsoft Authenticator or another authenticator app for this account? If so, do you still have that app installed and accessible on any of your devices?

I hope you find this information helpful. Please let me know if you have any further questions If the answer is helpful, please click "Accept Answer".

    Regards,
    Carlo
