Hi Thomas Coffey, I can imagine how frustrating it must be to suddenly lose the ability to save, print, or rename your spreadsheets especially if you rely on Excel for important work.

To fix issues with Excel for Mac not saving, printing, or renaming files, update Excel if possible using the Help menu, or use Excel Online as a workaround save files directly to your Mac’s local drive instead of cloud services like OneDrive or iCloud by choosing File Save a Copy and selecting a local folder check your Mac’s available storage space through the Apple Menu and About This Mac; temporarily disable any third-party antivirus software or Excel add ins that may interfere with file operations; grant Excel full disk access by going to System Preferences, Security and Privacy, and adding Microsoft Excel under the Privacy tab clear Excel’s cache by quitting the app, opening Finder, navigating to the Library Containers folder, and deleting the com.microsoft.Excel folder and try saving the file in a different format such as .xls instead of .xlsx to bypass format related issues.

Have you noticed if this problem happens with all Excel files or just one specific spreadsheet and are you able to save or print from other Office apps like Word or PowerPoint?

    Best regards
    Lucky Charm
