Bing Places - My Claimed Business Is Not Showing Up Accurately When Searching On Bing

I claimed my business on Google and synced the profile to Bing sometime last year. Now, when I search for my business on Bing, the old, out-of-date, inaccurate version of my business shows up instead of my owned, updated and accurate version of the business. Bing says they synced my business with Google as recently as 3 weeks ago, although I have not changed any information to the profile for many months, so there would not have been any changes to the profile the last time it synced. Why is my claimed business not showing up properly on search and how do I fix this?

    Hello Brooke,

Thanks for reaching out I understand how frustrating it must be to see outdated information about your business on Bing especially after you've taken the time to claim and sync your profile. We appreciate your effort in keeping your business details accurate and up to date.

It’s possible that Bing is still displaying cached or indexed data from before your profile was updated which can happen if the sync process didn’t fully overwrite the previous listing. Even though Bing Places syncs with Google periodically discrepancies may occur if the business listing was previously indexed under different metadata or if there are duplicate entries in the system.

To resolve this, we recommend signing in to your Bing Places account and verifying that your business profile is published and marked as “active.” You can also manually update or re-submit your business details to prompt a refresh in Bing’s search index. If the issue persists submitting a support request through Bing Places Help will allow the team to investigate and correct any indexing conflicts or outdated data.

Have you noticed if the incorrect listing appears under a different business name or address variation?

I hope this answer is helpful if you have further questions feel free to reply back

    Regards,

    Marcelo

I signed into my Bing Places account and verified that all of my business profiles are published and marked as active. I also manually synced my business.

How do I manually update or re-submit my business details? The information in my listing is correct, but even still, all of the fields are grayed out, and I'm unable to click into or make edits to them. Even after unlinking my Google Business profile, the fields are still grayed out and uneditable, and the search listing is still wrong.

How do I submit a support request through Bing Places Help? I have tried several times to chat with a virtual help agent, but after waiting for more than an hour several times, I'm never connected with one despite it saying I'm next in line to receive help. I have tried this several different times from different browsers at different times of day - all the same. I'm not offered any other way to get help - no form, phone or email is available to me from the Bing Places dashboard.
