Resetting default calendar

I am currently running MS Office 365 ProPlus on Windows 10. In Outlook, I have a secondary calendar in "My Calendars," which I use for a specific purpose. Whenever I would click on "Calendar" in Outlook Today, this calendar automatically came up. Recently, some sort of software update occurred, and now every time I click on "Calendar," I get taken to the Local Outlook Data File calendar, which is blank. I constantly have to open up the sidebar, scroll down to "My Calendars," click on my secondary calendar to open it, then unclick the other calendar to view my calendar in its entirety. When I leave Calendar for any reason (e.g. to go check email), and then go back, I have to go through this process all over again. To the best of my knowledge, both the Local Outlook Data File calendar and my secondary calendar are both stored in the Local Outlook Data File, so I don't know that resetting the save location through Account Settings will help. What can I do to reinstate my secondary calendar as my preferred calendar?

SOLVED. At least I think so. Before doing what JeffYang-MSFT suggested, I brought up my Outlook client. It was in Outlook Today, where I usually keep it when I'm not using it. Instead of clicking on the "Calendar" link at the top of the Outlook Today screen, I inadvertently clicked on the calendar icon in the side toolbar instead...and my preferred calendar came up, surprisingly. So I decided I would test this a bit. I backed up to Outlook Today again, clicked that icon again, and my preferred calendar came up again. Backed up again, THIS time I clicked the "Calendar" link in Outlook Today. AHA, NOW I went to a blank calendar. Backed up again to Outlook Today, clicked the toolbar icon, blank calendar came back up. Went through my process of selecting my preferred calendar and closing the blank calendar. Then backed up to Outlook Today. Clicked the sidebar icon again, my preferred calendar returned.

So it looks like clicking on the "Calendar" link in Outlook Today is now defaulting you to the "Local Outlook Data File" calendar regardless of which calendar you used last, whereas clicking on the Outlook sidebar calendar icon takes you to the last calendar you were using.

I don't know if this was intended in the last update or not, but I KNOW it wasn't like this before, I used to be able to click either one and have my preferred calendar come up. And for the record, I don't care for it working this way now, but at least I found a workaround. Thanks again!

What's the version of your Outlook? (File > Office Account > About Outlook). Please make sure you have upgraded your Outlook to the latest version.
What's the type of your account? POP, IMAP or Exchange?

According to my tests in my environment(Outlook 365 Version2007 Bulid 13029.20308), I found that Outlook client could remember the last calendars your opened this time and will automatically show these calendars the next time you opened the Calendar tab even if you have opened a Local Outlook Data File in your Outlook.

As I know, calendar items are usually stored in your Outlook data file of your email account. If you open other Outlook data file in your Outlook and make changes to its calendar, these changes will be stored in the Outlook data file you opened which is not the same as the Outlook data file of your email account.

When I leave Calendar for any reason (e.g. to go check email), and then go back, I have to go through this process all over again.

There could be some add-ins in your Outlook client that cause this issue, so it is suggested to start your Outlook in safe mode (Press Win + R, type “outlook /safe”, press Enter.) and see if the issue continues.
Corrupted outlook profile may also lead to this issue. It is suggested to try creating and using a new Outlook profile via Control Panel > Mail > Show profile and see if there is any difference. If you are using IMAP or POP email accounts, you could export your calendars to a new .pst file and then import to your new Outlook profile to see if the issue could be resolved.
