Hello,

I have a server that is no longer able to update it's DDNS address after I changed my Microsoft Live PW. I tried removing the registry entry for active configuration, it just throws an error when I attempt to setup the domain. At some point I restored the registry and after and only after a reboot did the Dashboard>Settings>Remote - Repaid function gave me the option to update the credentials however as soon as I hit Enter, the Dashboard crashes and won't offer the same option to re-enter until the system is rebooted. I have many of these servers so this issue will quickly become a monster of a problem me.

I'm hoping the superstar Olaf can help out here with this one.

    Hello @Mike

Just to confirm the steps you have tried are as following:

    • Log on to the server
    • Open regedit
    • Locate "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Server\Domain Manager\ActiveConfiguration" and rename it "ActiveConfiguration Old"
    • Restart the machine
    • Turn on / Repair the Remote Access in the WHS 2011 Dashboard
