I just tested reaching this url https://www.ewaybillgst.gov.in/ from a Win VM from central India location and it is reachable and working as expected. So No blocking from azure side.

I could think of few possibilities that are causing the issue:

    • It could be due to any recent changes that were performed on the Azure VM, please check the activity logs and any firewall setting changed with OS.
    • Probably remote website server is blocking the Cloud IP (not whitelisted).

    To troubleshoot the issue:

    • Try to run the curl command curl -X GET https://www.ewaybillgst.gov.in and see if you are getting response (this way you can rule out browser issues).

    • Try to launch a new VM in the same subnet with Public IP and try to access the URL.
    • Try to change Public IP to existing VM and try to reach the URL in a browser or use curl command and check as mentioned previously (Got to VM Network Interface and Dissociate the existing Public IP -> Create a new Public IP in same RG & Region -> Associate the new Public IP to the Network interface of the VM)
