On the page Hardware and Software Requirements for BizTalk Server 2020 it has
Supported minimum version:
.NET Framework 4.7.2
But no maximum version, does that mean .Net Framework 4.8 is supported?
According to this blog BIZTALK AUTOMATED MIGRATION
Note – For BizTalk 2020 we found a bug with .Net Framework 4.7.2, so we decided to migrate all the projects to 4.8 version.
As per my own blog BizTalk supported Microsoft .Net Frameworks & August 2019 Windows Updates, there have been issues with BizTalk if you have an unsupported version of .Net installed.

I don't know if it's supported or not, but we've also been 'forced' to use .Net Framework 4.8 with BizTalk 2020 with some customers. It works.

Thanks. Good to know it works, I had assumed it would from that blog, and the fact that with the correct CU, BizTalk 2016 can run on .Net 4.8
What forced you to use it? The client?
I'm hoping to get an official answer from Microsoft. If I don't get a response here, I might have to try another channel.

Partly other applications installed on the same server with higher requirements.
But also some custom code that utilizes/depends on the Microsoft Enterprise single sign-on sso assembly. Interestingly, this assembly is compiled by Microsoft using .Net 4.8 and requires .Net Framework 4.8 (!!), even though the requirements say .Net 4.7.2.

BizTalk Server 2020 supports .Net 4.7.2 and above, this means .NET 4.8 is fully supported.
