Edge Favorites control - root level

Is it possible to place Favorite links at the root, not inside Managed folder or your own folder?

I can do this stuff like this, but I would like to have links placed at the root of Favorites menu.

    Hi,

    I have done a lot of tests. when remove the toplevel_name paragraph. , A folder named "Managed favorites" will be created and the urls will be added into this folder.

    "name": "Bing"
    },
    ]

    Check the Bookmarks file under C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default. Use the similar format as the value , like add "Roots" and etc. But they are not working.

    I will keep testing. If I find the correct value, I will post here.

    Thanks, post here if you figure out something. So far I have exactly the same experience as you. One way is to add favorites bar but then browser experience will change.
