Hello,

i need to know if it is possible, to set the outlook meetingupdates automatically when a meeting guest accept or decline the meeting?

otherwise its very exhausting for the organizer of the meeting to send the meeting updates manually every time a meeting member accept or decline the meeting.

Hello, i'm sorry for the late answere. unfortunately it doesnt help me with the problem. i cant find any helpful article about this problem. its really exhausting to send the update manually everytime someone answeres the invitation.

Bevore the upgrade from sbs2010 to ex2019 everything was automatically set.

What’s your Exchange version and Outlook version?
In order to better solve your issue, I want to confirm with you how you booked the meeting? What does the automatic update meeting mean?
According to my test in my environment, when I send a meeting request to other users, whenever someone accepts or declined it, my Outlook will automatically update the meeting information.

If you want to update the information of your calendar, please try to click the option “Update Folder” under the Send/Receive.

We have an exchange 2019 server with cu14 (15.1.1847.3) an outlook 2019.

its like this:

User A (creator/organisator) sends a meeting to user B (restaurant). User B accept the meeting and forward it to 4 further members.
Now User B cant see how many (or who) of the members accepted or declined the meeting until user A sends the meeting update.

This is very exhausting for user A, who has to send a meeting update everytime a member accept or decline the meeting.

Thats why im searching for a automatically solution to send the meeting updates automatically everytime a member accept or decline a meeting.

Hi,
According to my research and test, Outlook cannot automatically send meeting updates. But according to my test results, after the organizer sends the meeting update email, the members will get the latest information about participating in the meeting, so the organizer does not need to send the meeting update email when receive the information of the member's acceptance or decline every time.The organizer can update regularly according to needs.

Based on my knowledge, compared with Exchange 2019, Exchange 2010 has major changes, including functions, appearance and operation logic. According to my test results and research, userB in your example in Exchange 2010 can see other people's meeting information, but in Exchange 2019, this function no longer exists, which is caused by design. It was mentioned in an official Microsoft article that after adding additional participants to the meeting, you need to send a meeting update to update the meeting information.
