Sharepoint 2016 document cannot add comment when use OOS edit in word

We use SharePoint 2016 document library and enable the document version function. We use OOS and click "edit in word" to edit the word. The SharePoint document library will generate a new version history without comments when save the word file. How can we add comments when we save the document?

You could enable check out and check in feature in versioning settings:

When you check in the file you could add comments as follows:

Thank your for your reply. But we need to co-edit with another user the same time. If enable the check out and check in feature, one user checked out the document the other user cannot edit at that moment. We want to know how can we add a comment when saving the document by using "edit in word" on OOS?

When you click "edit in word" in OOS, the document will be opened in the word app, you could add comment in the word app as shown below:
