Is there any alternative????

    Hey there do you have any good news for me..........

    A short story of my issue....we are doing As-Is migration and right now we are using WFSC FCI in our on-premise environment and we are migrating to Azure..So for the Backup of VM and SQL we opt the Azure Backup but after sometime we get to know that its not being supported so here the pause came to our migration so thats why I reached you guys to find any alternative/workaround........

    Sorry for the delay in response to your post.

    Using DPM 2019 UR2 you can protected SQL Server FCI instance deployed on Azure. There are ways using which you can get shared storage for deploying SQL FCI instance in Azure.

     Using Storage Space Direct (S2D) – DPM 2019 UR2 supports backup SQL FCI instance using this method.

     Premium File Shares – DPM (any version0 doesn’t support backup of SQL Database stored on the file share.

    @SadiqhAhmed-MSFT ......Thanks for the information much appreciated....just to clarify here that...I have window server 2012R2
    ...and SQL SERVER 2014 and for the production environment we are have 4 node fci cluster....and we have build this cluster with the help of Azure Premium File share.....is it possible to use DPM 2019 and it will work for me????????
