I was looking to get some guidance if possible, and was directed from Microsoft Answers.
I have a citrix server environment set up, and only 1 user experiences their excel documents corrupting after any changes whatsoever.
This can be on a freshly created document, or one that's been preexisting.
It happens on documents saved both on the desktop, as well as documents on a mapped network drive.
This use does not have issues on their local machine, so it doesn't seem it's directly with their account.
No other users on the citrix server have issues. The citrix server is hosted on a Windows Server 2016, version 1607 LTS.
Things I've tried.
1) Uninstalled and Reinstalled the entire office suite, multiple times.
2) Turned off any of the protected view settings, trusted view settings, etc. It seems any articles I found directed to that first but didn't dive much deeper
3) Added trusted locations, did the entirety of the C drive, as well as our mapped network drives.
4) Recreated the profile, similar to how you would with a corrupted microsoft profile in the registry profilelist, as well as recreating the user profile.
5) Confirmed we are up to date on any patches that may correlate with excel and the office suite.
Any direction would be appreciated.

Since you use a special environment, I can't test for you accurately.
I recommend that you use the following tool to completely uninstall the office(If you've already used it, please ignore it):
From the office's point of view, is there any error information when saving a file?
In addition, you can try to create a new windows account on this device and check the results.
It seems the issue persists after following the above.
They get the below error. When Yes is selected, it opens up and says it removed certain errors. I have yet to be able be able to find any information on what they might refer to.
When they are saving the document, it seems to save as normal, there are no error prompts, no indication that anything is wrong, simply only when the document is opened again(this part affects all users, on my account when I open a document they saved I also get the message). I have created a test account as well, given roughly the same permissions as the user, placed in the same group, and I cannot replicate the error on that account. I will attach all messages I see during the process. I've also looked through the eventvwr, without finding much helpful information.
According to your description, the new test account does not have such a problem.
Has the original user configuration information changed?
I'm not familiar with citrix servers and can't test it for you, but it doesn't seem to be a mistake caused by office itself.

No, the permissions between the two accounts should be relatively similar, with the one having difficulties likely having more permissions.
They are in relatively similar AD groups, etc. I cannot think of any other sort of configuration that would have changed.
As I mentioned prior, the user does not seem affected while working on their local machine, it's simply just in the citrix environment.
I'm sorry, since your issue involves citrix environment, this is beyond my scope of business.
