Network Watcher for VMSS VMs

Hello,

I have tried to setup Network Watcher for my VMSS(Virtual machine scale set) VMs but I can't select the individual VMs nor the VMSS itself in the network watcher (e.g. IP flow verify).

I also installed the extension module on the VMSS extension tab.
The single VM that I have in my resource group can be selected in the various network tests.

Is it not possible to use the VMSS VMs in the network watcher or is it maybe because they are used in combination with a ServiceFabric cluster?

    Hi @Lars

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Platform .

You are correct , Unfortunately there is very limited support for Network watcher feature with VMSS as of today .
We do have improvements coming in future , But don't have an ETA yet .

This works great with VNTE's and individual VM's .

Please Note: It is not suggested to make any configurations changes on VMSS's which are behind Services like Service fabric and AKS , Which might break the service functionality .

    Thanks & Regards,
    Pradeep
