Azure Kinect LTS support

When I got my hands on the azure Kinect at work I was baffled by the size and cost-effectiveness of this device compared to solutions by other manufacturers.
Apart from that the open-source software available and the integration with azure is brilliant.
But since this product has not been launched officially I have some questions about LTS and enterprise support of the Azure Kinect DK.
To make a shift towards this device these questions are essential to be answered and I think other users would like to know about this as well:

Will there be a retail version of this device available in higher amounts for enterprises?
Or is Microsoft considering dropping this product after the 'DK' release?
How long is Microsoft planning to produce this device?
Will it be still available let's say 5 - 7 years from now?

No we do not have a timeline or any plans yet.
We are using depth cameras/sensors to monitor picking and assembly progress in warehouses.
We do have a functioning system in place at the moment this is why no explicit project is planned, but I am creating use concepts for the new kinect.
So when we have to decide whether to use this device in new projects we need to know how long in the future this device will be available and/or if future designs of the device will be somewhat backwards compatible.

We have the same interest to use the Azure Kinect for our application but it is unclear if it will be officially launched. We have the same questions as stated above.
