Below Azure reference architecture talks about how data landing zones can be used to implement a data mesh.
In the above reference architecture, is it envisioned that a particular data landing zone will have all prod and non-prod resources

I feel usually non-prod environments will not demand much scale out capabilities. So, for non-prod we can consider single data landing zone pattern. But for prod it will be good choice if we can go with Multiple data landing zones as they offer scale out capabilities.

Hi @ShaikMaheer-MSFT I think you are suggesting to have different Data landing zone for prod and non-prod. Will it not be an over kill? I am thinking say if one deploy data landing zone for a specific domain, will it not be a good idea to have the prod-non-prod environments to support that domain in the same data landing zone? Prod and non prod can be separated using different resource groups in the same landing zone.
What is your thought on using a give landing zone for both prod and non-prod workloads for a given domain product ?
Hi @saurabh , Agree with your point too. Depends on our requirements and priorities. If scale out capabilities for PROD is major priority and for non-prod if its not then you can follow different landing zones. Other wise having different resource groups in same landing zone should also work fine.
