I just started using azure, setup a machine, and noticed that it's hosted in the US, due to potential issues that could be caused by latency I wanted to change regions to Europe West for all the resources relating to it. I have attempted to relog, and have had this issue persisting for a couple of hours. I am unsure what I could do to fix it.
I am moving resources within the same subscription. I have Owner level access.
"Do you have an RBAC role assigned to the entire subscription?" I am unsure what this means.
The Resource mover has the valid roles that are required by the thread listed below.
At first I thought it was managed identity since it wasn't enabled, I did so and still didn't work, then after that I deleted the resource related to the Region move hoping it would reset, but when redeploying the resource again still won't give permissions, same issue.
Oh and also after deleting the resource I am now stuck with role assignments from the Mover resource that has been deleted, but because they're inherited it says I can only delete them from the scope... the scope being the resource already deleted. So now they're stuck saying "Identity not found"
I know this platform isn't made for just anybody, but usually automatically assigned permissions for resources not working, and the fact that I've already been able to leave loose buggy role assignments ain't making me confident into a platform like this xD. Although I will admit, it is quite cool to finally use a bit of cloud computing.
This looks like you don't have sufficient access privileges to perform the resource move.
Are you moving the resources within the same subscription. Can you confirm what level of access you have? Do you have an RBAC role assigned to the entire subscription?
